8 Best AI SEO Agencies in 2026, Compared on Price, Contracts and Proof

Published October 12, 2026
Part of our complete guide: 10 Best AEO Agencies in 2026, Compared on Price, Terms and Proof
The short answer

There is no single best AI SEO agency. AEO Labs (us) fits growth-stage brands that want one specialist team working on Google and the AI assistants together. OuterBox publishes the clearest prices, with AI visibility work from its $3,000 a month tier, billed month to month. Thrive offers month-to-month contracts and a wide service menu. Omniscient Digital is built for B2B software and starts at $10,000 a month. iPullRank suits enterprise teams, with a 3-month sprint or a 12-month programme. Seer Interactive lets enterprise brands start with a diagnostic instead of a 12-month commitment. 42DM is for B2B tech and does Reddit and Quora work. Level Agency fits brands that already buy performance media from it.

The short answer

We run AEO Labs, and AEO Labs is on this list. Read it as a list written by one of the agencies in it. Every fact about another agency comes from that agency's own website, checked on October 7, 2026 and again on October 8, 2026, and each section links to the page we read. Where an agency does not publish something, we say "not published".

AI SEO, AEO and GEO are the same job under three names. If you searched for one of the other terms, our best AEO agencies pillar and the list of best GEO agencies cover a different set of firms. This page covers the agencies that sell it as AI SEO or AI search optimization.

Pick by the buyer you are:

How we picked

We started with the agencies that rank on Google for "ai seo agency" and "ai search agency", the ones AI engines name when you ask them for an agency, and the ones other "best AI SEO agency" lists keep repeating. We kept the ones with a dedicated AI SEO or AI search page. For each one we read that page, the pricing page, the case studies and the about page.

We compared six things: who the agency serves, whether it publishes a price, its contract terms, whether an AI search result names a client, what off-site work it does, and what it says about who is not a fit.

Off-site work got the most weight. When we sorted 90 days of AI citations for a beauty brand we track, the brand's own website was 5.8 percent of what the engines cited. Third-party editorial, community and reference sites were 59 percent.

5.8%
Share of AI citations in a beauty category that pointed at the brand's own website. Editorial, community and reference sites took 59 percent.

An agency that only edits your pages is working on a small slice of what decides the answer. The method is in our AI citation sources study.

We also tried to check Coalition Technologies. Its site refused our requests on October 7, so we left it off rather than repeat claims we could not see.

1. AEO Labs: best for growth-stage brands that want one team for Google and AI

What we are. A small specialist agency. AEO and the SEO underneath it are all we do. Our AI SEO services run one programme across Google rankings, AI Overviews and the assistants, because the same content, technical base and third-party sources feed all three. A comparison page can rank on Google and get quoted by ChatGPT, and one placement on a trusted list can earn a link and an AI citation together.

What we do. A technical audit that covers search engines and AI crawlers. Keyword and prompt research in one map. Content written to rank and to be quoted, structured data and entity cleanup, and reporting on rankings, AI citations and AI-referred traffic. We use AI as a drafting aid, and a person researches, rewrites and fact-checks every piece before it ships.

Off-site work. Most of the effort goes here: placements on the listicles engines cite, digital PR, and Reddit.

Results you can check. For Try Create, ChatGPT named Create its number one pick for "what is the best creatine gummy" when we captured it on August 9, 2026, a year after the engagement ended. The share link is on the case study, so you can open the answer on ChatGPT's own domain. Gemini named Lux Unfiltered its best dye-free pick for "best tanning face drops". iSleep's own GA4 shows $12.8k in revenue from AI referrals across 71 orders over 11 months, a small number we print as measured. For Upsun, ChatGPT ranked the brand number one for "best overall structured DevOps platform" at the close of the 2025 engagement. On the classic SEO side, InCorp's non-branded organic traffic went from about 2K to 22K.

Pricing and terms. Not published. Every engagement starts with a 30-day sprint scoped to the brand, and we quote after a first call.

Where we are the wrong choice. We do not run paid media, and we are a small team. If you want AI search bundled with ads and web builds, Thrive or Level Agency will suit you better. A Fortune 500 company that needs a large team on site should look at iPullRank or Seer.

2. OuterBox: best if you want a published price

What it is. OuterBox calls its page an "AI SEO Agency for AEO, GEO, and Search Visibility". It was founded in 2004, lists offices in Akron, Houston and Tuscaloosa, and has a team of 300+, including 90+ in-house SEO specialists based in the US. It serves ecommerce, SaaS, healthcare, financial services and B2B tech.

Pricing and terms. The clearest of anyone here. The packages page lists Essentials at $2,000 a month, Pro at $3,000 and Enterprise from $7,000+. All packages bill month to month. AI and LLM visibility work is listed from Pro up, so the real entry price for AI SEO is $3,000.

Off-site work. The packages list off-site link building and digital PR outreach.

Results. The AI SEO page cites organic revenue cases, such as Soccer Innovations with a 17 percent boost in organic revenue. We found no named client with an AI search result.

Limit. The $2,000 tier does not include the AI work, and the page says plainly that rankings are not guaranteed. Pick OuterBox when a clear monthly price matters more to you than AI-specific proof.

3. Thrive: best for month-to-month terms from a full-service agency

What it is. Thrive Internet Marketing Agency is a full-service digital marketing agency headquartered in Arlington, Texas. It was established in 2005 and has 160+ employees. Its AI SEO page says the service suits healthcare, marketing, ecommerce and technology businesses, among others, and the site says it works with clients of all sizes.

Pricing and terms. The pricing page names three AI SEO levels (AI Foundations, Comprehensive AI SEO and Enterprise AI Strategy) but gives no dollar figure for them. General SEO starts at $500 a month. Contracts are month to month, with no long-term commitment.

Off-site work. A wide menu: digital PR, link building, third-party directory and citation management, and review generation.

Results. All unnamed. A regional medical group reached over 1,000 total AI citations. A Mexican shoe company saw a 610 percent increase in ChatGPT traffic. Another client had a 381 increase in mentions in AI Overviews. Thrive also says its own traffic from AI platforms grew 5,556 percent in 2025.

Limit. You cannot check any of those results against a named brand, and AI SEO is one service among many. Choose Thrive if flexible terms and one vendor for everything matter more than a specialist.

4. Omniscient Digital: best for B2B software with budget

What it is. Omniscient Digital sells this as answer engine optimization. It is a remote team in the United States, with addresses in Austin, Boston and New York, and it serves B2B SaaS and technology companies, from VC-backed startups to mid-market and enterprise teams.

Pricing and terms. Full-service engagements start at $10,000 a month. Contract terms are not published.

Off-site work. Strong. Original research, digital PR, expert contributions, third-party mentions and brand mention outreach.

Results. The best named results in this group. Convert grew LLM visibility 81 percent and AI citations 140 percent. OnBoard reached the number one AI share of voice. An unnamed AI security company grew AI visibility 25 percent.

Limit. Omniscient's own AI info page says it is not a fit when the business is primarily B2C or ecommerce. If you sell to consumers, look elsewhere. If you sell B2B software and can spend $10,000 a month, it is a strong choice, and in that case it may suit you better than we would.

5. iPullRank: best for enterprise teams that want a long programme

What it is. iPullRank was founded by Mike King. Its AI search work is organised around a readiness level, with three stages running from companies just starting with AI search to Fortune 500 and enterprise organisations.

Pricing and terms. Its AI search page publishes three investment ranges: $30K to $150K, $150K to $500K, and $500K+. The AI search strategy programme comes as a 3-month opportunity sprint or a full-year programme, with scope set per client.

Off-site work. Ongoing work across PR, community, links and outreach, plus promotion planning.

Results. None named. iPullRank's about page says many of its Fortune 100 clients sign NDAs, so brand names do not appear on its case studies.

Limit. You will be buying on reputation and references rather than public case data. Ask for a reference call.

6. Seer Interactive: best for enterprise brands that want to test first

What it is. Seer Interactive calls the work GEO. It has been around since 2002, lists 250+ people across full-time staff, contractors, part-timers and interns, and says it has 130+ enterprise clients with a 92 percent retention rate.

Pricing and terms. Price not published. The page says you do not need to commit to a 12-month programme, and many clients begin with a diagnostic phase. For an enterprise buyer that wants proof before a long contract, that is the most useful term on this list.

Off-site work. Not listed as a deliverable. The page names PR, social presence and reviews as inputs that LLMs pull together, and it measures mentions by trade publications and influencers.

Results. An unnamed outdoor living brand gained 414 new AI Overview citations and increased its AI Overviews ownership by 344 percent, according to the case study.

Limit. Seer says it still calls GEO experimental. We count that in its favour, but if you need off-site placement work done for you, confirm it is in scope.

7. 42DM: best for B2B tech that wants Reddit and Quora work

What it is. 42DM is a B2B marketing agency for tech companies: SaaS, fintech and enterprise tech. It was founded in 2016, has a team of 52 and works across the US, Portugal and Ukraine, with offices in New Jersey and Porto.

Pricing and terms. Neither is published.

Off-site work. Among the broadest here: mentions in industry media, PR outreach, directories and review sites, and community work on Reddit and Quora.

Results. CloudCall went to 29K monthly non-branded clicks from near zero. The page says it unlocked new traffic from ChatGPT and Perplexity but gives no number. An unnamed IT company moved from fifth to third among competitors for total AI citations and now has 199 pages cited in Google AI Overviews.

Limit. Tech companies only, and the named AI result has no figure attached. Ask for the ChatGPT and Perplexity numbers behind the CloudCall case.

8. Level Agency: best if you already buy performance media

What it is. Level Agency is a performance marketing agency headquartered in Pittsburgh, founded in 2010, with a fully remote staff. Its company page says it focuses on sales-lead B2C and B2B brands, and names higher education.

Pricing and terms. Neither is published. The AI SEO page offers a free visibility audit.

Off-site work. The AI SEO programme does not list any. Backlinks come up only under traditional SEO.

Results. No AI search case data is published on the AI SEO page.

Limit. AI SEO is one line inside a media agency. It makes sense if Level already runs your paid campaigns and you want AI search added to the same account. If AI search is the main goal, the others here publish more about how they do it.

What to ask before you sign

  1. Which prompts will you track, and can I see where I stand today? You want a written list of the questions your buyers ask ChatGPT and Gemini, with your current position on each.
  2. What share of the work happens off my site? Ask for the publications, lists and communities they plan to target. If the answer is "none", the agency is working on the smallest part of the problem.
  3. Can I open the proof myself? A share link on the engine's own domain beats a screenshot, and a screenshot beats a percentage.
  4. What was the starting number? A 610 percent rise means little until you know what it rose from.
  5. What happens if I stop? OuterBox and Thrive bill month to month, Seer lets you start with a diagnostic, and iPullRank's programmes run for 3 or 12 months. Know which you are signing.

Frequently asked questions

What does an AI SEO agency do?

An AI SEO agency gets your brand found and named in AI-driven search: Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, plus assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. The work tracks prompts as well as keywords, makes your pages easy for a model to read and quote, and earns mentions on the third-party sites the engines cite. Most of what the engines cite sits off your website, so a good agency spends real effort there.

How much does an AI SEO agency cost?

Few agencies publish a price. Of the eight here, OuterBox lists SEO packages at $2,000, $3,000 and $7,000+ a month, with AI and LLM visibility work listed from the $3,000 tier. Omniscient Digital says full-service engagements start at $10,000 a month. iPullRank publishes investment ranges from $30K to $500K+. Thrive names three AI SEO tiers without dollar figures; its general SEO pricing starts at $500 a month. The rest, including us, quote per client. Compare proposals on deliverables and on how results will be measured.

Is AI SEO the same as AEO or GEO, and how is it different from SEO?

AI SEO, AEO (answer engine optimization) and GEO (generative engine optimization) are three names for the same job: getting a brand cited in AI answers. OuterBox and Thrive say AI SEO, Seer says GEO, Omniscient says AEO. AI SEO still rests on classic SEO, because Google AI Overviews draws mostly from pages that already rank. The difference is that it also tracks prompts and citations, and it works on the third-party sources AI engines quote.

How do I check an AI SEO agency's results before hiring?

Ask for a named client, the exact prompt, the engine and the date. The strongest proof is an engine-hosted share link, which opens the original answer on ChatGPT's or Gemini's own domain. Percentage growth with no starting number tells you little. Several agencies on this list publish unnamed or percentage-only results, and one, iPullRank, says its large clients sign NDAs.

How long does AI SEO take to work?

It depends on what is wrong. If AI crawlers are blocked at robots.txt or the CDN, a fix can show up within days of the next crawl. Getting onto the lists, reviews and threads an engine trusts takes months. iPullRank's shortest programme is a 3-month sprint, and many Seer clients start with a diagnostic phase. Be wary of any agency that gives a timeline before it has looked at your prompts.

Why is AEO Labs first on its own list?

Because this is our list and we think we are the right fit for one kind of buyer: a growth-stage brand that wants a specialist team running SEO and AI search as one programme. We say so at the top. For B2B software with a large budget, enterprise programmes, a published price or a full-service agency, we point you to the agency we think fits better.

Which AI SEO agency is best for B2B SaaS?

Omniscient Digital, 42DM and iPullRank all serve B2B software. Omniscient has named results and a $10,000 a month floor. 42DM works only with tech companies and lists Reddit and Quora work. iPullRank suits enterprise teams that want a long programme. We work with SaaS too; our Upsun result is a ChatGPT number one from 2025.
